Sky Valley Ministries Lead Chaplain
Chaplain Nick Twomey
Nick and Rose Twomey live in Traverse City, MI. They married in August, 1979, and they are the proud parents to two grown children and eight grandchildren. Nick received his BA from Hope College in Holland MI, and his Master's and Doctorate from Western Theological Seminary, also in Holland, MI. Nick and Rose served two large churches over four decades, and Nick stepped down from pastoring in 2016 to work full-time as an advancement officer with Biglife, a global disciple-making movement.
Nick and Rose love spending time with family and friends, traveling, and spending time on the water. They are excited to be serving on the chapel team at Sky Valley Resort.

CHAPLAIN Bruce Carroll
Bruce Carroll is a multi-Grammy and multi-Dove award-winning singer/songwriter, recording artist and worship leader. He’s been twice nominated for songwriter of the year by the Gospel Music Association and has been inducted into the Christian Music Hall of Fame. Bruce has served as a fulltime worship director on 2 large church staffs and has consulted for several others. Bruce currently serves on the chapel team at Sky Valley Resort in Desert Hot Springs CA from November through April every season. Bruce and his wife Nikki reside in Cordova TN the other 6 months of the year.
Bruce and Nikki married in 1982 and have 4 children and 5 grandchildren together. They love to travel, minister together and spend time with family. Bruce continues to write and record.
Sky Valley Ministries Chaplain
Chaplain MARK BENZ
Mark was raised on a farm in Minnesota before he joined the Army as a paratrooper. He served in Vietnam where he was “drafted” in the Lord’s Army. He went on to college, then Papua New Guinea to set up a sawmill with Phil Manthei and returned to finish Seminary. In 2024, Mark answered the call to come serve as the Chaplain for Caliente Springs Chapel. He brings with him the gift of sharing the gospel in word and life and helping others find Jesus.
Mark and his wife Deb were married in 1973 and they live in Colorado. They had 5 children and have 7 grandchildren. One of their daughter’s recently passed away in June 2025. Mark and Deb enjoy shopping, playing Pinochle and living life to it’s fullest.

Rebecca Quigley
Rebecca grew up in So California but has lived in Hawaii for the last 25 years. Raised in a Christian home, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior in the 4th grade. She earned a degree in Education and Computer Science and then spent 15 years working as a computer programmer in Portland, OR… until the gloomy weather in the Pacific NW prompted her to move to Maui. There she worked as a Church Administrator until “retiring” to self-employment. In 2023, God led her to buy a park model in Sky Valley Resort and in Nov 2024, she joined the Sky Valley Ministries Team.
Rebecca has one married daughter and 2 grandsons that live on Kauai. In Dec 2021, she had a Kidney Transplant. Not only did this give her renewed health for travel, surfing & pickleball, but also a renewed purpose to serve and share the love of Jesus.
